A combination of instruments not previously featured in Curry Rivel Music’s 40 year history but played by artistes from London and Paris where each has attracted national acclaim. Their appearance is supported by the Countess of Munster Musical Trust by which Jonathan was granted a star award. The Trust supports only the very best.

Piano Duet Recital – The London Connection
One piano, four hands!
Emma is a Neapolitan, now a professor of piano at the Guildhall School of Music as well as a staff coach at the Royal Opera House. She has performed at innumerable prestigious venues throughout the UK and Europe in a variety of combinations including, of course, many with Julian. A Cambridge graduate in music, he completed studies at the Schola Cantorum in Basle and at the Royal Academy of Music in London. Apart from an outstanding career as a keyboard player, he is much in demand as a conductor.

STETSON UNIVERSITY CHAMBER ORCHESTRA
CONDUCTOR – ANTHONY HOSE
Anthony Hose, Principal Conductor of the Welsh Chamber Orchestra and Artistic Director of Beaumaris Festival, spends part of his year as Director of Orchestras at Stetson University in Florida. After their successful tour four years ago, he is again bringing the University Chamber Orchestra of young musicians on a UK tour which will include St Andrew’s Church, Curry Rivel.

This will be a free concert, open to all to mark the 40th anniversary of Curry Rivel Music’s music making in the village.
There will be the usual interval for refreshments of coffee and wine and afterwards, for the Friends of Curry Rivel Music, a celebratory supper in the Old School Room. Friends will receive an invitation to this nearer the time.
