“Uniquely enchanting sound, fresh and delightful programme, faultless ensemble ….. The best performance of any kind I have heard in years” – Isabel Farrell (ex-manager, Live Music Now! Northwest)

We now have the programme for the trumpet and organ concert on Saturday 15 October, and it looks wonderful! Everything from my favourite baroque composers to 20th century pieces inspired by the stained-glass windows of Marc Chagall (which I also love, so I’m really looking forward to that). And they are also playing Rachmaninov’s “Vocalise”, which we heard in the last concert on clarinet and piano, so it will be interesting to compare that with the sound from two rather different instruments!
Put it in your diaries now!
Don’t forget the first Curry Rivel Music concert for this season at 7p.m. this Saturday; Joseph Shiner (clarinet) and Somi Kim (piano). As ever, we are expecting a delightful evening of wonderful music of international quality. Free entry for children and students. More details here.
The programme will include music by Lutoslawski, Rachmaninov, Stravinsky, Mozart, Brahms and others.
